An exhibition of portraits of honorary dance leaders and honorary chief conductors as well as dance leaders and chief conductors of the XXVII Nationwide Latvian Song and XVII Dance Festival is on display to the public on the ground floor of the Spice Home shopping center. The exhibition at the Spice Home shopping center will be open to the public until July 27 before it travels to Cēsis.
The exhibition features over 70 portraits of chief conductors, leaders, honorary leaders, and honorary chief conductors who have been celebrating the significance and values of Latvia's cultural heritage over the years. Each portrait is accompanied by a short description of these outstanding personalities, highlighting their contribution to the creation of the Song and Dance Celebration. During the festival, July 3 to 9, the exhibition was displayed in Esplanāde Park, but now everyone can see it at the Spice Home shopping center until July 27. Those who will not manage to see the exhibition by July 27, will be able to see it at the Cēsis Town Festival.
Both the exhibition and the portraits featured therein are the Spice shopping center’s gift to the National Center for Culture (LNKC), and after being shown to the wider public, they will become the property of the National Center for Culture. The photos of the chief conductors, leaders, honorary leaders, and honorary chief conductors have been taken by Gatis Gierts.
