As of September 12, Spice shopping centre has made a decision to reduce the centre’s working hours by one hour. In the future, the shopping centre will be opened for customers from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.
The administration of the shopping centre said that changes in the working hours refer only to shopping centre Spice, while Spice Home shopping centre will keep to its usual business hours – the centre will be opened for customers from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. on workdays and Saturdays and from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sundays. Rimi Hypermarket will also keep its working hours unchanged and continue work from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. every day.
“The decision to change the working hours of Spice shopping centre has been made thanks to the initiative demonstrated by tenants and the current hike in energy resource prices. Already in summer we took energy saving measures, reducing operations of air conditioning systems, but in winter we will regulate lighting in the shopping centre, and during late night hours lighting of the exterior of the shopping centre will be reduced considerably,” said Iveta Priedite, the manager of shopping centres Spice and Spice Home.
In relation to saving on natural gas consumption, the average air temperature in Spice and Spice Home shopping centres will be reduced by a couple degrees during the cold season. Also, gas boilers and burners are being replaced in both shopping centres, which will allow to reduce natural gas consumption by about 10 percent.
